Teachers' Events in Luxembourg
Great turn-out at our first events in Luxembourg!
A big thanks to those who took part for your great work and engagement!
From 23 to 24 November 2017, a series of workshops and presentations were held in Luxembourg to show how Transcribathon could be used in education.
On Thursday 23 November 2017, Ad Pollé (Europeana) and Frank Drauschke (Facts & Files) each gave talks on the Europeana 1914-1918 and Transcribathon projects and their capabilities for research and education. Over 50 people took part in this Lecture series at the University of Luxembourg, with many of them later taking part on the workshop the next day.
Friday 24 November 2017 was the workshop Europeana 1914-1918 et Transcribathon dans la salle de classe, which gave teachers hands-on experience with the tool. They even took part in a small competition of transcribing WW1 documents from Luxembourg. In the timeframe of just a few hours, the 5 teams managed to transcribe over 11 000 characters! Well done on this great achievement and we hope that you will continue your fantastic work in your classrooms!
