European Transcribathon Championship in Brussels!

Europeana 1914-1918 Centenary Tour Finale.

17 Transcribathon champions from countries all over Europe transcribed over 300.000 characters and nearly 300 documents in 7 languages in Brussels within 24 hours! A great end to the Europeana 1914-1918 Centenary Tour!


From Tuesday 27th November to Wednesday 28th November 2018, 17 Transcribathon winners took part in the Europeana 1914-1918 Centenary Tour Finale Transcribathon in Brussels. The participants were winners from former Transcribathons and were invited to participate in this European Championship. The transcribers came from Austira, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Poland, and Spain were transcribing in 8 teams.

The talented and multi-linguistic transcribers crossed the finish line with 313,381 transcribed characters and 298 documents! That’s a great final run!
