My Dearest Nellie/                        June 30th 1918

                          Just a few lines hoping you and baby

also all at home are in the best of health also all

relations please remember me kindly to them all. also

wish Father many happy returns of the day July 4 th..

although I am afraid it will rather late but but I had not

forgotten him. I am in the best of health and

plenty of work to occupy my time with my horse and 

heifer have got all our lay in. so shall soon be

in the harvest field now. I get on very well with

my work and the farmer  ... me up to others

he gives me very good food. I am waiting patiently

for to hear from you all now. so will say good bye for

this time love from your ever loving loyal and affectionate hubby R
