Dear Mrs. Ward,

  Just a hurried

line or two to thank you

for the lovely box you sent

me a few days ago. I

should have sent a line to

you before, only I have been

too busy. The contents of

box were extra. I'm sure if

you know what pleasure

it gave me you would be

fully rewarded for any

effort it cost you to send

it. The Mr. is keeping fit like

myself. You may bet I am

looking after him, to see

that he comes to no harm.

I think I have told you

all this time so I'll close
