My dear Ward,

By the time you get this

I expect you will have been

relieved + will be having a well-

earned rest. When you have time

I am awfully anxious as you can

imagine to hear all about it.

Well you give me a general acct.

I'm quite sure everyone did

splendidly + some time when you

have them on parade will you

give a suitable message from

me + also tell them how grieved

I was to be knocked out so

early in the show. We should

have been up with them in
