I am pleased to hear that. I don't

feel very old yet. If the

Boche behaves himself I may

get a chance of writing a few

letters. I am sadly behind at

present. Have hardly written

to anyone except you Lassie

although I have received a

good few letters. Tell Kenneth

that Daddy sends him a big

kiss & lots of love. It does seem

a long time since I was at

home with you Lassie - much

longer than my first spell

out here though it isn't nearly

as long actually. There are a

number of officers on the leave

roster above me but I shall

try & get leave after this

tour of the trenches. I shouldn't
