to be getting used to being in

trenches again. I hope you

have settled down in Grantham

& that you are very comfy at

home. I sent Blanchard on

leave a few days ago so he

will probably have seen

John & you may have got a little

news from him the night you

spent with Maud & John. I

couldn't send any message

by him because I didn't know

he was going until a few

minutes before & as soon as

I sent him off parade we had

to march away. We had a

church parade this morning &

that is all I have done to-day

except make preparations for

taking over the line. I hope you
