other brigade I should have been

safely fixed up long ago. Still

it's all in the days work and we

have again got a CO who is a 

gentleman so things have really

altered for the better. Ta for your

lovely letter No 54 received to-night.

Oh it is not due to you Lassie

that the letters did not come

but to the postal services out

here. They do exceedingly well but

at times letters are bound to be

held up. I was very glad to

read that you had been allowed

to get up & hope your leg will

soon be real well again. It 

is good to know that the pain

has gone. I also wish I could

get home Lassie but am afraid

the only thing to do is to be patient
