My Own Darling,

  The postman treated me

well to-day for he brought me

a letter from you, one from Hooper

& one from Marie Parson. We had

a very good time last night

dining with Chambers and I have

promised to go & dine at 'A' Coy with

the CO to-night. We are making

the best use of our time before

we go back into the line. We

have got a fine Battalion now

and swarms of officers. I was

pretty busy this morning but

I didn't get up too early

- breakfast about 9:30. This afternoon

I had an afternoon off work &

went back to cheer on the Company

who were playing D at football.

We won by eight goals to nil
