My Own Darling,
My letter last night
turned out to be a very short one
but I have to work at times you
see. Our move forward has been
put off for a week or ten days
so we shall have a still longer
rest. Last night Sherwell & Vincent
dined with me and after dinner
Sherwell & I went to cheer up Fox
who was still in bed. He got up
to-day but still feels a bit
washy. To-day I have been buzzing
round most of the day only as it
was a nice day I rode on Sally
instead of walking. I had a
letter yesterday from Auntie Janice
in which she told me that
my Grandfather at Hamden had
died after a few days illness.
