My Own Darling,

  I am still going strong

& looking like a wounded hero. I 

had a good night last night.

Got up at 10 am this morning & 

when I had my head dressed

the Doc was very pleased with

the progress it had made. So

far it is healing quite cleanly

so it ought not to be very

long before I can get my hat

on again. To-day I have just

been slacking about so have

no news at all. The postman

forgot to bring me anything to

day. Several times I have found

myself wondering what you were

doing. Whether the sun was 

shining with you & you were

out for a walk. We have had
