No 29

31/12/17

My Own Darling,

  I was delighted to receive

No 25 & 26 this afternoon & to hear how

you had spent Christmas. Glad

Kenneth had such a good time.

Hope that the next Christmas

will see us all together again.

Yesterday we observed as Christmas

Day. We had a church parade

in the snow in the morning. It

was very cold so we had a very

short service. At mid day the

men had their Christmas dinner

& thoroughly enjoyed it. Plates,

tables, chairs were a difficulty

but we managed very well.

In the evening we had a dinner

for the officers & that was also

a good show. We couldn't get

turkey but we had chickens
