they came to the footer

ground on North Parade

- one Brigade against another

as the referee did not

come I carried on in

that capacity. Got back in

time to change. Scott of

course wished to be

remembered to you. I had

a letter from Sheppard

to-night. He is much better

& is with the Res Bn at

Saltfleetly as is also

Mendal. He send regards

to you & the "Little fellow."

  Glad both you &

enjoyed Nance Greenwood's

visit. The weather must

have been fairly good

lately for harvest to be

all in. Hope all were

good crops.
