Captain/Major Harold Ward Correspondence, item 467

Sally has got quite clever at
jumping them & now thoroughly
enjoys a good run across the
fields. I have had quite a lot of
riding lately & shall be sorry when
we get forward & leave the horses
behind. I am very fit & well
Lassie. Good living & short hours
seem to suit me as well as
damp trenches & dugouts did.
Monson has left us now - got a job
as conducting officer - it will suit
him much better than a fighting job.
I am sorry he has gone though
for he was a very interesting fellow.
Don't think I have any more news.
Tell Kenneth Daddy was very
pleased to get his photos & to
see he was growing such a big
