I may sleep in it but I hope to

get three or four. It is somewhat of

a business moving off "lock-stock

& barrel 23/8/17 (8:30 am) The CO had finished

dressing when we got there for as I went

off with him on a tour of the billets &

ended up with dinner. I am not 

waiting to go to the mess for breakfast.

It is very warm again this morning

(going for breakfast).

  12 noon 23/8/17

Since breakfast I have received

a letter from you and also have

been round the country with the

C.O. watching the companies work

and also look at ground to work on.

It seems strange being in a country

again where the land is cultivated 

& where the gardens & orchards belong

to some one. Just think how
