It seems an age since I wandered

here. The view from my bed is nil

but the country round about is

very pleasant & I'll like it better

when I can go out. Don't worry

about me Lassie. I am not

really ill only having an

extra rest. We have had

very showery weather but to-day

appears to be just lovely.

I don't want to stay here long

for you see when in hospital

we don't get any allowances &

that means a lost of nearly 6/-

a day at the present time.

I hope you & Kenneth are

both going strong & having a good

time. My thoughts are with you

most of the day - wondering what

you are doing & living again

those precious hours when we were
