My Own Darling Wife,

  Ta for your letter just

received which you wrote on the 

Yes it looks probably that I will

get leave. I see that Newton has

been awarded the M.C. Monson

has not been at all well since he

got back & so has been unable to do

anything for the past few days.

is only a chill on his liver so I

expect he will soon be all right & missing

  Glad to hear such good account

of the Grantham people & also that

you go out fairly often.

  Harris is going strong

really enjoying himself here

I put up a small canteen and

got him to get a stock of things

in for the men. He does a roaring

trade in everything that he can
