My Own Darling Wife,
We got out of the front
line safely this morning and
I arrived at this camp about
5:30 am. I should have got in
about 3 am but we were
doing a small show & I had
to stay until it was all over.
We have got a real good
camp in the gardens of a
ruined village but we shall
only be here a short time
as we are going farther back
for more training. I didn't
manage to get a letter off
yesterday & there is very little
time before the post goes now.
I turned in about 6 am & had a
good sleep until breakfast
at 11:30. We are enjoying
a lovely summer evening &
just outside the band is
