My Own Darling Wife,

  I was very pleased to

receive your letter of the 25th & to

see that you had arrived safely

at home. I am glad you did not

have to wait for a letter but found

one to welcome you. You must have

done well to be able to write me

such a long letter on the day

you travelled. Yes it must be

a business getting about now with

fewer trains & restrictions on baggage.

Glad Kenneth had a good time. He

seems to be a great favourite with

everyone he meets. I don't expect

"Boy" will ever forget the taste of

chocs chocolates? or fail to get excited

whenever he thinks there is a

chance of getting them.

It was good of Gladys to meet

you at the station & I hope you

will enjoy seeing each other again
