My Own Darling Wife,

All I have to say to-day

is "Nothing of importance to report

except that I got a letter from

you last night. I wonder how you

managed that for me in the woods.

Yes we cannot help feeling

sorry that Langwith is not

home now for it is a place

of very pleasant memories.

Monson may get back to us but

it is doubtful. We used to say

he couldn't stick it, didn't we?

Walker is with the Reserve Battalion

I believe. He may blow out again

some day. It was hard lines

getting so near the front & then

falling sick. The promotions are

held up for the time being by

the War Office as all T F
