longest period we have been away from

each other for years & years isn't it

Sweetheart? No wonder it seems

a long age. I was letting my

imagination have play this afternoon, trying

to picture a ten day leave together &

fitting it on first to one place & then

another. Think I decided finally that

it was the ten days I wanted & that I

didn't care very much where the place

was. What do you say? Anyhow I

expect to be home before Christmas.

I have no news that I can tell

you Darling. We are all getting along

pretty well & working hard to finish

off the war. The news of the last

few days should make good

reading for the British Public & I

hope more will be provided for

them. Present day war is a slow
