news from the north. It is a useful

nibble this time & I guess there

will be a few pleasant touches

for the Boche, similar to this, before

the summer is over.

We have had decent weather for

the last two days although the

rain is still hanging about. This

morning we had a lovely blue sky

& bright sunshine while it has

been rather dull with a slight

shower this afternoon. Expect there

will be some letters for me to-night

but of course we can only get rations

&c. up under cover of darkness

so it is late when they arrive.

I hope you are well & going

strong. Give my love to Maud

& John & the Family. Expect I shall

get leave before August but
