TELEGRAM from Lt. Woolley,to High Commissioner, 22. 2. 16.

Findings in Evangelista case will be

referred to Paris Prize Court for decision on

justification for altogether sinking; French

Admiral has handed over the captain to the

British military authorities with the statement

that there can be no reasonable doubt that he

supplied enemy submarine with petroleum between

February 1st and 6th. Crew should not be lost

sight of in view of findings of preliminary

enquiry. Presumably some of the crew escaped

schooner before boarding by the French, can this

be established?

WOOLLEY.
