At Sea
Private T Noonan
On Active Service

Dear Mother & Father

Just a short letter to let you

know I am well, and I hope you are all quite well

at home. How are Kitty, Maggie, Mick and Willie?

I hope they are all in good health. I suppose

Willie is a big boy now, is he going to school all

the time? How are all the friends, I suppose

they are all well. Kindly remember me to them.

We sailed from Melbourne on 22nd Dec and

have had a nice trip so far. We called to

Albany and Colombo where we stayed for a

few days. We have a good time on board

and there is plenty of exercise drill and so

forth every day, we don't feel the time passing.

At night, we sleep in hammocks which are

swung from the top of the troop decks.

I don't sleep below as it is too close. I

have a nice place to swing mine on the
