How lonely now beside

Lough Gurr. There's none

to sing her praise.

That old church yard cant

claim you now. where

you spent some glorious

days. Your lonely grove

is vacant there. How sad

for those at home. A

Western sky is oer you

now. The last long mile

has flown

your life was short

but happy in this fair

land so true

 Right page

Yes we parted by the river

on that bright Oct. night

but still in dreams I see

you there Where the same

old moon shines bright

The Efil tower is lighted now

+ I am across the sea

The Seine rolls on but

you are gone Marie of

old Parie.

Again if war clouds

gather oer the same

proud river bank, I

doubt if e'er you will

meet me there in the same

old Kackie  khaki pants. They

two have changed the missing

that made you dear to me

So to-night in dreams we

live again

Marie of Old Parie
