Dear Sisters,


just a few lines thanking you for

your letters, I have not been out to write to

you because I have had a lot to do this

week, I have gone up another class to day,

I shall be home in a few weeks so I shall

be able to talk to you all, we are only

having half rations now we get dark

bread & stew every day. I don't know what

roast meat is- I shall be glad when I can

say I have finished with the army, although

I shall do my best while I am in it. I

have got on alright with those I have

been under I never get into trouble. Well

sisters remember me to all at home, I will

close with love good night & God
