My dear Son

After receiving your letter of the 27th

which gave me great pleasure I did not propose

to write you again but has it may be some short

time before you hear any thing definate + I

assume you are in a state of suspence I decided

to write you and stating how the matter stands

as far as my knowledge goes.

I wrote the Minister of Munitions on Monday

last ( This matter is now our of the Labour Exchanges

hand entirely) asking him to let me have a

reply to mine has I  was most seriously short

handed, On Friday I received a reply of which

the following is practically a Copy.

Re yours of the 26th re Returning Soldier D-

Herbert Fose This matter is having the serious

consideration of the Ministry of Munitions +

when a decision is arrived at the result

will be communicated to you with the

least possible delay.

In the meantime it is not necessary

for you to take any further action in

this matter

              Your Truly

                      Major-

This of course leaves not attenative only
