Since Tuesday morning British troops have advanced 14 miles, and yesterday took Le Cateau. The line given on the map is approximately that yesterday morning. By night we were in occupation of Estrun, Thun, Rieux, and Avesnes, and were across Solesmes-La Cateau Road. Further south we had taken Vaux and Andigny. The French had made considerable progress towards Guise.
